Prime Minister appealed to the Alcoa Women's Network
to take a special interest in Jamaica and to share
their expertise in building networks, links and strategies
that would assist the country to move forward on the

Judith
Nocito, Assistant General Counsel for Alcoa Women's
Network (AWN), said the objective of the conference
is to give participants a broadened perspective of
global dynamics, through exposure to renowned experts
in the field, as well as Alcoa leaders.
"We
are excited that Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller
accepted our invitation to address our conference,
as we see her as one of the outstanding and dynamic
women in a leadership position around the world,"
she said.
The
AWN was formed in 2001 by a group of executive women
in the company, who felt it was important for women
in leadership positions to come together to provide
a catalyst for the further development and advancement
of other women in the company.
Accompanying
Mrs. Simpson Miller were Jamaica's Ambassador to the
United States, Professor Gordon Shirley and Cabinet
