The Jamaican Nationals Association of Washington DC will have a new board of Directors, come January 1, 2008. The executive body will be lead by Jacqui Payne (President), Ian Harvey (Vice President), Claudette Henry (Executive Secretary), Joyell Arscott (Recording Secretary), Denakay Brown (Treasurer), Enid Russell (Assistant Treasurer), Franklyn Burke (Parliamentarian), Rosie Parke (Public Relations officer) and Moreen Wallace (Immediate past-President).

JWOW Donates over US$100,000 to
Several Organizations in Jamaica

The Jamaica Women of Washington Association (JWOW) has contributed US$125,000 or J$9.5 Million to a number of charitable organizations in Jamaica over the last five years. The charities are The Jamaica AIDS Support, Mensana, Community for the Upliftment of the Mentally Ill, the Jamaica Cancer Society, Family and Parent Center and the Western Society for the Upliftment of Chilrdren.
