Celebrities Attend Launch of Golf Tournament to Benefit Schools in Jamaica

Several celebrities in music, film and sports attended the launch of the third Annual Caribbean Classic Golf Invitational Tournament at the Foot Hill, Los Angeles residence of Jamaicans, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stephenson on Januray 21, 2007.

The sporting event will be held in Montego Bay from June 14 to 16 this year, 2007, and will bring together celebrities from the United States and Jamaica competing for various prizes.

Board Appointed to Represent Jamaicans in Southern United States

Jamaican Diaspora Southern United States (US) has appointed a transitional regional board to further the engagement and involvement of Jamaican nationals residing in that region of the US.
The board members are Andy Adams representing Texas, New Mexico and Arizona; Janeth Simpson-Brown, Tennessee, Arkansas and Oklahoma; Alan Alberga and Jason Walker representing Georgia; Wayne Golding, representing West/Central/North Florida; Junior Farquharson, Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, Florida; Dale Holness, Broward County, Florida; and Jennifer Hue/Salomie Chung, Miami-Dade County, Florida.
