Representatives
of the Government and Private Sector of Jamaica recently
travelled to Minnesota as part of a trade and investment
series, funded in part by the Government of
Jamaica, the Private Sector and a grant from the European
Union. Organized by the Jamaica Minnesota Organization,
the 2007 mission further explored avenues to increase
product exports from Jamaica and facilitate trade missions
into jamaica.

of Tourism Highlights Importance of Air Jamaica

Dirctor
of Tourism, Basil Smith has emphasized the important
role that Air Jamaica continues to play in the country's
growing tourist industry.
Addressing a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark Air Jamaica's
25th anniversary of service to the Caribbean from out
of Baltimore, at the Baltimore Washington International
Airport, Mr. Smith said that, "tourism is the lifeblood
of Caribbean nations, and one of the most effective
resources that we have at our disposal is Jamaica's
national airline, which continues to make tremendous
contributions to Jamaica's tourist industry and to the
Caribbean as a whole".

Jamaica's 25th year of service out of Baltimore Washington
International Airport, recently. Also participating

of Sales, Air Jamaica; Will Rogers, Senior Vice President,
Air Jamaica; Basil Smith, Director of Tourism and Bob

Sabina
Park Volunteers to be 'Kitted Out' on March 7th |

the excitement mounts for the historic staging of the
ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2007, more than 500 volunteers
working at Sabina Park will be "kitted out"
with uniforms and other accoutrement on March 7, in
addition to receiving supplementary training between
9: 00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
