Sale of Bolt's Shoes to Fund ICS Project in Trelawny

A replica of the record-breaking shoes won by World and Olympic Champion, Ambassador the Hon. Usain Bolt, OJ, is to be auctioned by the Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) to fund its new LifeSEED's Youth Vision project in Bolt's district of Sherwood Content in Trelawny.

The shoes, now on display at the Renaissance Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC, USA will be auctioned within another two weeks.

Washington-Based Charity to Donate Neonatal Equipment to Cornwall Regional Hospital

The Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay St. James is to benefit from neonatal equipment valued at $1,780,000 (US$20,000) from Jamaican Women of Washington, Inc. (JWoW).

The equipment includes infant warmers, bilirubinometers, which are used to test infants for jaundice, and pulseoximeters, which measure blood oxygen levels.
